FUN POKER NIGHT

Last Saturday 6th Sept, we decided to change the format and add a bit of fun & drink into our format! It became obvious that the players who were getting to the final stages of some tournaments seemed to be the 'soberest' ones! So I thought, why not make it more even and start to give chips for empty glasses! Great for the bar takings and great for the ones who enjoy a bevy when playing Texas Hold-em.

SO THE RULES WERE :- 1000 chips for a £10, 2 further buy-ins of 600 chips for £5 until 9.30pm. PLUS 200 chips for every EMPTY pint downed, 100 for a short and 100 for a bottle (Bud,etc) until 10.30pm.

You'll never believe it but we had a waiting list for seats and the night can only be described as HECTIC! I wish I could have collected 10 chips for every time I heard my name called (for another empty glass) as I would have been chip leader easily!! £225 was shared between the 4 winners in the reverse order of ME, Gareth, (all-in) Aaron & the first inaugural winner was Jordon!!! ONE POKER TABLE WITH A MAXIMUM OF 10 PLAYERS, IF YOU LOSE YOUR CHIPS YOU CAN BUY-IN OR GET UP AND LET SOMEONE ELSE HAVE A GO!!!
READ THE RULES CAREFULLY TO AVOID ARGUMENTS!!!!



RULES

1) GAME STARTS PROMPTLY AT 8PM!
2) IF YOU MISS THE START YOUR BLINDS WILL GO IN!!!
3) £10 FOR AN INITIAL 1000 CHIPS
4) BUY-INS ARE £5 FOR 500 CHIPS AND CAN BE OBTAINED ONCE YOUR EITHER OUT OF CHIPS OR UNDER 250 IN CHIPS.
5) BEFORE 9.30PM BUY-IN CHIPS COME OUT OF CHIP BOX
6) AFTER 9.30PM BUY-IN CHIPS COME OFF THE CHIP LEADER
- IN THE EVENT OF TWO PLAYERS HAVING EQUAL CHIPS (WITHIN 250 OF EACH OTHER) THEY SHARE THE BUY-IN
7) IF THERE ARE MORE THAN TEN PLAYERS A QUEUEING SYSTEM STARTS WHEREBY THEY HAVE TO WAIT FOR A SEAT TO BECOME FREE TO PLAY
8) ONCE A SEAT BECOMES VACCANT NEW PLAYERS COMING TO THE TABLE MUST PAY £10 FOR THEIR 1000 CHIPS, THEN PREVIOUS RULES APPLY
9) CASHING YOUR CHIPS IN CAN ONLY BE DONE AFTER 9.30PM, THEN AFTER THIS YOU WILL RECEIVE THE ROUNDED DOWN VALUE OF CHIPS IN EQUIVALENT POUNDS i.e. 1225 = £12 & 2375 = £23
10) BLINDS WILL STAY CONSTANT ALL NIGHT @ 25-50
11) AT 10.55PM THERE WILL BE A SHOUT OF ‘THREE HANDS’ AT THIS POINT LIKE STATED THREE MORE HANDS WILL BE PLAYED AND AFTERWARDS THE NIGHT IS OVER!!!

POT BLACK SERIES OF POKER

Pot Black Series of Poker is run monthly over the Year ending in a final table held Xmas time for mega bucks!! Each qualifier has cash prizes for the Winner and Runner-Up. A points system is in place so that over the course of the year 6 budding poker players qualify for the Xmas Final table and 6 players qualify for a Play-Off table (to find two more players for the final table)
